I wrote the song during my second semester in college about 4-5 months ago. I was laying down on my couch, looking at the Christmas lights my roommates and I set up for the room. While looking at the lights I thought " I wonder if someone at this exact moment is thinking about me and hopes to find me" like it's written in the stars for me and her to be together we just have to find each other first. Then it clicked! I began to write the lyrics, melody and piano part that same night! I called it stars in my room to reference the X-Mas lights in my dorm room. I use space as the main metaphor to drive the song's overall arc/story. The cover is something I drew/ designed myself using a polaroid picture of my dorm room and a few cut out drawings! After practicing the vocals and piano part, the song was ready to record!!! I co-produced this track with my friend and I am really happy with the final product of this song. I hope you enjoy it!
